Writing and Humanities

Tutoring:
The Writing and Humanities Center is for TRiO/SSS students to receive academic assistance in any writing intensive courses as well as humanities courses such as Psychology, Sociology, History and Seven Ideas.  Upper level humanities and writing courses are available for tutoring if we have a qualified tutor for your course.  Please call the ASC (330)672-3190 to see if we have a tutor for your needs.

Workshops:
Our center also offers workshops in collaboration with the Peer Mentoring and Mathematics TRiO/SSS tutoring centers to enrich qualifying students academically, professionally, and financially.  See our calendar

Tutor Credentials:
Our tutors are required to have an A or A- in the course they are tutoring, as well as a 3.0 minimum grade point average to ensure your tutor has demonstrated knowledge in the subject area.  Tutors also are College and Reading Learning Association (CRLA) certified, which means they are required to attend regular trainings to continually improve their skills in tutoring.
