Kent Core Study Groups
The Academic Success Center's Study Group program is just one of our programs funded by a Federal TRiO Student Support Services grant. The Study Group Program is designed to provide students with academic support in Kent Core coursework. Certified peer tutors assist students in clarifying and reinforcing concepts taught in class. Students will learn and strengthen active reading, learning, and study strategies as they relate to specific course material. The goal of the program is to facilitate student success, build content knowledge, and refine academic skills. Weekly individual or small group sessions are scheduled according to student and tutor schedules.
Study Group Tutoring is available for:
- PSYC 11762 - General Psychology
- SOC 12050 - Introduction to Sociology
- PHY 11030 - Seven Ideas that Shook the Universe
- HIST 12070 - US History (Formative)
- HIST 12071 - US History (Modern)
