Audition Requirements for ALL Applicants

VIDEO RECORDINGS

Every applicant is required to upload VIDEO or CD recordings at the time of application submission. You will not be able to submit your application without recorded material. There is no upper time limit to the size of the recorded files submitted. (See http://www.kent.edu/blossom/apply/repertoire.cfm for repertoire requirements). Applications not meeting this requirement will not be processed.

Do not mail CDs or DVDs to Kent/Blossom Music Festival. They are not accepted. You must upload your videos or CD recordings with your Kent/Blossom Music Festival application at http://www.decisiondesk.com/clients/kentblossom/apply/welcome/. Should technical issues arise, simply click on the Help button on the left side of the screen. The Decision Desk staff will be pleased to assist. The following video formats are accepted: avi, m4v, mov, mp4, mpeg, mpg, ogg, vob, and wmv, and large file sizes can be accommodated.

Each piece of audition repertoire must be unedited and recorded separately. Recordings must be produced with a single, fixed-focus camera (no zooming) that displays full-body view of applicant and instrument. Recordings may be produced on home-quality equipment;studio-quality production is not necessary but highly recommended.

Accompaniment is not required.
