The London Times has ranked Kent State University as one of the best 200 universities in the world. The only other school in Northeast Ohio receiving this recognition was Case Western University. Kent State University has been recognized as a "Doctoral - Research Extensive" University by the Carnegie Foundation. About 150 of the 3,941 colleges and universities in the Carnegie classification are in this category. Of the more than 1500 schools of business in the United States, Kent State is one of only 90 schools that grant the Ph.D. degree.
The College of Business and Graduate Programs Office are included in the 15% of business schools that are accredited by AACSB, the International accrediting organization for business schools. The Graduate Programs Office has a long tradition of providing the executive education to the corporations in Northeast Ohio.
The EMBA program is offered annually at the conveniently located campus in Kent, Ohio and has periodically been offered at other locations including our Regional Campuses in Northeast Ohio.
