Master of Science in Financial Engineering
We have suspended admissions to the Master of Science in Financial Engineering program, effective Fall 2012. This will allow the College of Business to serve a broader student body and to more effectively meet the future needs of businesses within the state and local regions. This change will not affect students currently enrolled in the degree program.
The interdisciplinary degree, Master of Science in Financial Engineering (MSFE), is designed for students with strong quantitative backgrounds who seek careers as a risk management officer, derivatives analyst or trader. The MSFE Program emphasizes applied skills in financial engineering but requires students to develop a solid understanding of the underlying theory. Our state-of-the art, on-campus trading floor uses advanced market software with live data feeds that simulates trading conditions and provides hands-on training to develop “Quants Who Can Trade.”
