Scholarships for Business Experiences
We know that students participate in unpaid internships, and that this can take a toll on their financial situation. With our ever increasing push for student participation in practical learning, we are also striving to support our students financially whenever possible. As we find scholarship opportunities for students participating in internships, they will be posted here (including all eligibility requirements):
-
VanBenthuysen Applied Business Experiences Award (click for application)
-
- The Van Benthuysen Applied Business Experiences Award is made possible through a generous donation from Mr. and Mrs. Walt and Judy VanBenthuysen and their desire to see students connect to "real world" experience beyond the classroom, even when that experience comes without a paycheck. The goal for these awards is to offer merit-based scholarships to students who have accepted unpaid internships which qualify for academic credit.
Generally, students must have at least a 2.5 GPA, be declared in a business major, (eligible majors: ACCT, BMGT, CIS, ECON, ENTR, FIN, MKTG, MMTG, OPMG), and meet all other departmental prerequisites to qualify ( see details here).
All scholarships are deposited directly into the student's Bursar's Account. Failure to successfully complete the internship will result in revocation of the scholarship funds.
