Department Welcomes New Faculty Members
The department welcomes Dr. Shawn Rohlin as a new Assistant Professor of Economics. Dr. Rohlin earned his PhD in Economics from Syracuse University in 2009 and specializes in urban, public and labor economics. He researches how government policies impact local economic factors, such as business location decision.
Dr. Deepraj Mukherjee is joining the Economics department as an Assistant professor on the Stark campus. Dr. Mukherjee received his PhD from the University of Memphis in 2010. His main research interests are in International Economics.
We also welcome back Dr. Nasr El-Bahnasawy, now a NTT Assistant Professor on the Kent campus. Dr. El-Bahnasawy earned his PhD from Colorado State University in 2008. Before returning to Kent State, he taught at Mansoura University in Egypt. His research deals with the empirical determinants of corruption.
