Simulated Patient's Lab

The Department of General Medicine is comprised of an overall goal of physicians providing diagnosis and treatment of the human body. Courses include:

  • Physical Assessment and Diagnosis, which focuses on total body examination using the traditional processes of inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation
  • Neurology, which is a comprehensive study of the diagnosis and treatment of the neurologic diseases
  • Dermatology, the treatment and management of dermatologic disorders
  • General Medicine, recognition and treatment of medical problems with organ systems such as renal, cardiovasular, musculoskeletal, endocrine, digestive, etc. and their relationship to podiatric medicine
  • Behaviorial Medicine, a concentration in the area of mood and anxiety disorders, alcoholism, substance abuse, psychoses, and pain management
  • Women's Health, covering the unique areas to women including pregnancy, contraception, infertility, cardiovascular, health, osteoporosis, and menopause
