Timothy J. Byron, DPM, MS, Class of 1971
In his words: "I have spent my entire professional career treating Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, & Marines. For almost 40 years, I have given all I could to our Armed Forces & the Veterans Administration. It was my first full time job, and it will be my last. Huge strides have been made in Federal Podiatric Medicine over the past 40 years and I have been proud to be a small part of the progress."
Edward J. Fiffick, DPM, Class of 1959
In his words: I am deeply honored and humbled to be nominated for the Hall of Fame Society of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and our Alumni Association. To me, this is the ultimate honor one can receive from their alma mater. It has been a goal and privilege as a member of the Board of Trustees to continually improve the education of our students, and to continually upgrade our facilities. I believe that we at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine have the best educational program and the finest facilities of any podiatric medical college in the country, if not in the world."
Lawrence S. Osher, DPM, Class of 1982
In his words: I am awe-struck at even being considered for this honor. I have never taken for granted the great privilege I've been given - that is, to be a teacher at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, now the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. To be sure, I enjoy serving on the Radiation Equipment Committee of the Ohio Dept. of Health - as service to OPMA. However, there is no better "rush" for me than to meld with the young minds of the students in my rotations and classes at KSUCPM."
