Eastway Center Residence Hall Check-In. After putting your luggage in the Eastway room, walk over to the Kent Student Center to check in for the Destination Kent State program.
8 - 9 a.m. Ballroom, 2nd Floor Kent Student Center (KSC)
8 - 9 a.m. Kent Student Center Ballroom and 2nd Floor Lobby Resource Fair. Encourage your student to visit the Flash Card office on the 1st Floor of the KSC to get their KSU Flash Card (student ID).
8:15 - 9 a.m. Ballroom Balcony, KSC
Honors College Introduction (required for admitted Honors College students & their families)
9:15 - 9:45 a.m. Ballroom, KSC
Welcome to Kent State University. Please be seated in the Ballroom by 9:15.

11 - Noon Ballroom, KSC Kent State University: Your Home Away From Home
Noon - 1 p.m. Eastway Center Dining Room (Escorts to the Kent Student Center leave Eastway at 12:50 p.m.) Lunch! Enjoy lunch with other Kent State family members. Visit the model rooms in Eastway to see a sample of the residence hall spaces at Kent State. Speak with representatives of both Residence Services and Dining Services during the lunch hour.
1:05 - 1:15 p.m. Ballroom, KSC
Go Flashes! Catch the spirit! Hear from Kent State Athletics about Kent State pride!
1:15 - 2 p.m. Ballroom, KSC Your Roadmap to Graduation: You and your student will attend a program dedicated to highlighting the Kent State approach to student success.
2:15 - 3:15 p.m. Look at your student's schedule to determine the location of this session. Flash Guides will guide the way to this session. Pillars of Success: Academic Foundations and Expectations: Students and their guests will take a walk on campus to spend an hour with representatives from the College that houses the major your student selected.
3:30 - 4:15 p.m. Ballroom, KSC
Student Conduct & Safety
4:15 - 5 p.m. Ballroom, KSC
Campus Resources: Hear about essential services such as Health Service, Information Services, how to buy textbooks, and the Registrar for an informative overview of the way we meet the needs of your student.
5:15 - 6:15 p.m. Eastway Center Dining Room Dinner and time to relax (Flash Guide escorts will return to the KSC starting at 6:15)
6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Kiva, KSC Online Living and Learning with Mr. Michael Vaughn. Join us for an hour of learning and laughing in a program session that was the hit of the 2011 "DKS" season. The parent/guest program concludes for the day after this session. Flash Guide escorts will take you back to the Eastway Center to conclude your day.

6:45 - 7:45 a.m. Escorts will leave Eastway at 7:40 a.m. to walk back to the Kent Student Center.
Breakfast
7:15 - 7:45 a.m. Eastway Center Dining Room ROTC: Student and family members are welcome to visit with Kent State Air Force and Army ROTC personnel (optional).
7:45 a.m. Eastway Center Main Lounge and Dining Room Meet the Flash Guides for an escort back to the Kent Student Center.
8:15 - 9:45 a.m. Governance Chamber, KSC
What's the Scoop? Join us for a discussion about helping your student make the transition from high school to college.
9:45 a.m. Campus Tour Flash Guides will escort you on a tour of the campus. This morning your student visits one-on-one with an Academic Advisor. While your student is visiting with their Advisor, please feel free to take a campus tour, visit with the Financial Aid or the Bursar to ask questions about tuition and fees, or relax in the Kent Student Center.
9 - Noon 2nd Floor Computer Center, KSC
Financial Aid and Bursar (student accounts) staff are available to assist with the "how to" of navigating Flash Line (tuition payment, financial aid).

Students and family are welcome to remain on campus to complete important errands. Consider browsing the computer options at the Kent Student Center Bookstore, get a student ID at the Flash Card office (1st Floor, Kent Student Center), pay a student bill at the Bursar (131 Schwartz Center) or visiting Financial Aid (103 Schwartz Center). If you need assistance finding the person that can best assist you, please ask a Flash Guide or any other Destination Kent State staff member to help you make a connection on campus.
Parents will receive a program evaluation via their e-mail address. Please take a few minutes to respond to the evaluation. Your feedback is important.
