The LGBTQ Student Center
Located on the second floor of the Kent Student Center, the LGBTQ Student Center serves as the academic and social hub for the university's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students.
The opening of KSU's LGBTQ Student Center
The LGBTQ Student Center is a collaborative effort with The College of Arts and Sciences, and The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DDEI) that seeks to provide resources and support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer students and allies. Staffed primarily by LGBT Studies faculty, and DDEI staff, the Center's focus is on providing academic resources related to LGBT Studies, advocating for LGBTQ students, educating the campus community about issues of sexual orientation and gender identity, providing a safe space for all students, and serving as an informational clearinghouse for activities, events, and opportunities related to the LGBTQ community.
KSU Library's LGBT Life
LGBT Life is a library resource that provides indexing and abstract coverage of the world's literature regarding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender issues. Disciplines covered include civil liberties, culture, employment, family, history, politics, psychology, religion, sociology and more.
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, fusion is "a merging of diverse, distinct or separate elements into a unified whole." Fusion magazine addresses sexual minority issues within the general university population. The magazine strives to unify people of different backgrounds through education and awareness. Fusion magazine is produced by students at Kent State University twice per academic year.
Kent State University's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight ally student group. The group is open to anybody who wants to attend for any reason.

Domestic Partner benefits
Kent State University offers domestic partner benefits to eligible employees. The benefits will extend to both same gender and opposite gender partners of university faculty, unclassified employees and unrepresented classified employees.
Students contact Psychological Services at the DeWeese Health Center for a variety of reasons, but typical concerns include academic difficulties, stress, anxiety, depression, questions regarding sexuality, feelings of loneliness, lack of self confidence, interpersonal difficulties, and eating disorders.
