Distance Learning

Welcome to Kent State Online

Kent State Online is a great way to finish a degree or start a new one. Our online learning environment provides you a convenient way to take coursework with much more flexibility to serve your needs.

There are a variety of degree, certificate and continuing education opportunities available. More than 350 courses are offered each semester in areas such as: nursing, business, technology, education, instructional technology, accounting, information systems, library science, and special education. We are dedicated to providing you the same high quality teaching and distance learning opportunities that you would find on any of our eight campuses.

Courses are offered in a number of time frames including: 15 week fall and spring semesters, five week summer sessions, and three week intersession opportunities. Distance learning workshops are offered in one to four week concentrations throughout the year.

There are several different delivery systems used to make the experience the best for student learning. Types of delivery include: PC-based Video Conferencing (iLinc); Room-based Video Conferencing (VTEL); and Web-based Courses.

Whether you are a returning adult or a traditional student just beginning your higher education, Kent State Online is a great way to accomplish your goal of obtaining a degree or to enhance your current occupation.
