Admissions

The guidelines detailed below are intended for applicants in the M.Ed. and M.A. (thesis required) in Education with a major in Evaluation and Measurement as well as Ph.D. applicants in Education with a major in Evaluation and Measurement.

Master's Degree Program

The College of EHHS admits students to the Master's degree programs on a selective basis. Minimum requirements for admission to the M.Ed./M.A. degree programs include:

  • Official transcripts,
  • 2.75 GPA, and
  • Two letters of recommendation.

Doctoral Degree Program

The College of EHHS admits students to Ph.D. programs on a selective basis. Minimum requirements for admission to the Ph.D. programs include:
  • Official transcripts,
  • Satisfactory scores on GRE (Verbal. Quantitative, and Analytical required),
  • Two letters of recommendation,
  • 3.5 GPA

Following the interview with the program faculty, a recommendation (either supporting or denying admission) is directed to the Graduate School of Education, who will notify the applicant of the decision concerning admission. Upon admission, the student will be assigned a doctoral advisor who will aid the student in the selection of a committee to select the course work for the program (prospectus committee).
