Program Description:
The certificate program in integrating technology into education is aimed primarily at the K-12 teacher who wants to make better use of technology and related resources in his or her classes. Specific goals for the program include:
- Students will describe and apply a variety of models for technology integration in K-12 classrooms
- Students will demonstrate skills in developing effective educational materials using at least two different technologies, such as computer software applications (beyond basic Microsoft Office applications), digital video, Internet applications, or multimedia
- Students will develop a complex integration plan for their own teaching
Admission/Prerequisite Requirements:
- A completed application form
- A well-written and coherent statement of the student's goals in the program
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0
Courses required:
Total of 15 hours.
