Doctoral Assistantships -- Fall 2013

Kent State University's Higher Education Administration (HIED) program has four (4) doctoral level graduate assistantships (GA) available for fall 2013.

Two positions will be filled by individuals with interests in career development/advising. These positions offer an opportunity to develop teaching and research skills and gain knowledge regarding career development. GAs will teach career guidance courses and perform other duties as assigned.  Hours vary and may require nights and weekends. Appointment for all positions are for the academic year with possibility of reappointment up to 3 years.

Qualifications:  Candidates must be accepted into the KSU HIED doctoral program and enrolled full-time concurrent with the appointment. GA is required to enroll in Career Development and Guidance course during first semester. Professional interest in career development preferred. GA must demonstrate strong academic writing, library research, time management, and organizational skills.

Two positions are research assistantships. In this role, doctoral students will assist faculty with research projects and will develop skills in research design, data collection, data analysis, and conducting literature reviews. 

Qualifications:  Candidates must be accepted into the KSU HIED doctoral program and enrolled full-time concurrent with the appointment. GA must demonstrate strong academic writing, library research, time management, and organizational skills.
