Overview

The Master of Science program in hospitality and tourism management provides an integrated hospitality and tourism graduate education, with an emphasis on regional, national, and global implications of the field. Students will develop critical analysis skills, research abilities, and understand advanced hospitality and tourism issues. Graduates will be prepared to successfully secure positions of leadership in industry or pursue a terminal degree in hospitality or tourism management.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistants are appointed by Kent State University to full-time graduates who display a high level of scholarship and academic excellence. Graduate assistants in the Hospitality Management program will assist with food production labs, faculty research, program activities and outreach, and assignment assessments. Graduate assistants in the Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management program will be assisting faculty with research, teaching and program activities.
