One of the goals of the Instructional Technology program is to prepare preservice teachers to become globally competent by gaining an awareness of international issues, appreciating cultural diversity, understanding other cultures and people, and thoroughly grasping educational practices in other countries.

Maureen Haska (right) graduated from KSU with a Master’s Degree in Instruction Technology and is the Technology Integration/Curriculum Specialist at Streetsboro City Schools. Her daily tasks involve assisting and training teachers with 21 Century technology skills, such as document sharing and collaborative content sharing. Maureen is currently working with ITEC faculty member Dr. Cindy Kovalik on a Blended Learning Grant through eTech Ohio.

Will Turek, earned his master’s degree in Instructional Technology in 2010, and currently works for Kent State University in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education. He is a Lead Educational Technologist Designer with the Online Learning Team, which designs and develops online courses that align with the university’s strategic plan for distance education.

Stacy Stevenson, an Academic Program Officer in the School of Journalism at Kent State University, is working on her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Instructional Technology. In her current position, she assesses online master’s programs and develops online courses with Journalism faculty. After graduation, Stevenson plans to work in higher education administration with a focus on online programs.

Trojack’s current project involves designing and developing multimedia training materials for PepsiCo., which is located in Dallas, TX. His daily tasks involve working with a Subject Matter Expert (SME), creating scripts, and developing Flash-based multimedia training materials.
