I welcome the opportunity to work with students throughout many facets of their Kent State experience. It is especially rewarding to see students grow in knowledge and self-confidence and gain broader outlooks as they move through their years at the university.
Many times, I’ve seen quiet, reserved, uncertain freshmen grow into outstanding, well-respected student leaders. Likewise, I’ve witnessed countless numbers of Kent State students contributing to the betterment of our educational community and the strengthening of bonds with our surrounding communities.
On this so-called “journey” through college, students have important personal responsibilities as well as responsibilities as members of our community at large. We take this seriously and make it a point to emphasize the need for our students to be aware of and understand their personal and community obligations. This awareness is facilitated through a variety of ways -- our orientation programs, residence halls, campus programming, or even this Web site, among others -- but ultimately responsibility rests with each individual student. After all, students are our number one priority and student success is Kent State success.
My office is here as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and parents -- to assist with any issues or concerns regarding University policies or procedures. We are also always happy to sit down with students and identify resources and opportunities to enhance their total Kent State University experience. Feel free to give us a call at 330-672-4050.
