ESL Program Dates

Semester & Summer Dates

Spring Semester

Two 7-week modules each followed by one week of exams.

Module 1: January 10, 2012 - March 3, 2012; testing February 24 - 29, 2012

All new students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing on January 6, 2012, at 1:00 pm, in Satterfield Hall room 201. All returning students need to come to the ESL Center and register on January 9, 2012 at 8:00 am.

Module 2: March 5,2012 - May 3, 2012; testing April 26 - May 1, 2012

All new students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing on March 5, 2012, at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201. All returning students need to come to the ESL Center and register on March 5, 2012 at 8:00 am.

Spring Break: March 19 - 25,2012

If you need to apply for a visa, we must receive your application for admission to Module 1 by November 1, 2011. For admission to Module 2, we must receive your application by January 9, 2012.

Fall Semester

Two 7-week modules each followed by one week of exams.

Module 1: August 27, 2012 - October 12, 2012; testing October 13 - 20, 2012

On August 20, 2012, all new ESL students must attend the orientation for international students provided by the office of Global Education. On August 22, 2012, all ESL students must report to Satterfield Hall room 201 for ESL testing, advising and registration.

Module 2: October 22,2012 - December 7, 2012; testing December 8 - 15, 2012

All new students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing starting October 19, 2012 at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201. All returning students need to come to the ESL Center and register on October 19, 2012 8:00am.

If you need to apply for a visa, we must receive your application for admission to Module 1 by June 18, 2012. For admission to Module 2, we must receive your application by August 25, 2012.

Summer Semester

One7-week module followed byexams.

SummerModule: May 14, 2012 - July 7,2012

Tuition cost: $3, 825.00*
On-campus Housing: approximately $1770.00

All students must attend ESL Orientation and Testing on May 14, 2012 at 8:00 am, in Satterfield Hall room 201.

In addition, the ESL Center offers non-credit intensive English programs designed to meet specific needs, accompanied by optional excursions which complement our programs. Excursion fees are not included in tuition fees.

We must receive your application at least nine weeks before the summer intensive program begins.

Program A: August 4 through 17, 2012

This program is designed to develop students' understanding of American culture while at the same time practicing their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
