You and Your Academic Advisor
The foundation of your academic career will be developed and guided by you and your Academic Advisor. Your Academic Advisor is crucial to your continual exploration of majors and the process of selecting your major, the major that will be a great fit for you!
All EXCEL students are assigned to an Academic Advisor. You and your Academic Advisor will work closely together to identify your areas of interests that directly connect to majors offered at Kent State. Your Advisor will guide course selections and will provide advice for complementary coursework and many outstanding opportunities outside the classroom, in which you will want to become involved.
The relationship you establish with your Academic Advisor will prove essential and valuable, as you will quickly learn that your Academic Advisor is knowledgeable to assist you with any matter as a Kent State student. The Exploratory Advising Center, the location of your Academic Advisor, holds a wealth of information and resources for you to be an Involved, Engaged and a Achieving Kent State student!
