4.1 Incorporate global perspectives into all of our educational, research and service initiatives
- Internationalize the curriculum among all Kent State campuses (Academic Affairs)

- Review diversifying the curriculum to infuse diversity throughout all disciplines (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)
- Enhance the awareness and reputation of Kent State University with global stakeholders (University Relations).
4.2 Forge strategic partnerships that add significant value
- Increase partnerships with communities, e.g., public service and industry in the areas of energy, sustainability, economics, and technology (Academic Affairs)
- Expand collaborative research partnerships (Research and Sponsored Programs)
- Support and create external domestic and global partnerships (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)
- Leverage relationships with alumni donors and funders to advance Kent State University (Institutional Advancement)
- Position Kent State University as a valued and admired partner (University Relations)
- Promote system-wide workforce development (University Relations)
- Leverage the WKSU platform (University Relations)
- Participate in statewide and regional initiatives to leverage capacity and efficiency (All divisions).
4.3 Build and enhance the Kent State brand regionally, statewide, and nationally
- Promote broad research collaborations (Research and Sponsored Programs)
- Improve Kent State’s image and brand to prospective students (University Relations; Enrollment Management and Student Affairs; and Intercollegiate Athletics)
- Through strategic marketing, build greater equity in the brand (University Relations)
- Complete infrastructure improvements to www.kent.edu sub-sites (Information Services).
4.4 Further develop and expand student and alumni relations
- Continue to implement off-campus community service/engagement activities (Enrollment Management and Student Affairs)
- Expand the program model for students and recent graduates (Institutional Advancement)
- Expand regional alumni programming and enhanced communication initiatives (Institutional Advancement)
- Continue focus on student Campaign for Change fundraising effort (Institutional Advancement)
- Promote student identity as Kent State alumni from freshman to career (University Relations; Enrollment Management and Student Affairs; and Intercollegiate Athletics)
- Implement enhancements to ensure accurate and timely information for the alumni directory (Information Services).
4.5 Increase the presence of international students and scholars at Kent State

4.6 Increase Kent State student participation in study abroad programs

- Review process for students from underrepresented/underserved populations to increase access and opportunity (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)

4.7 Implement proactive federal and state government affairs initiatives
