Welcome to the Plus-1 Credit orientation training. Thank you for considering experiential education as a path to enhancing your learning experiences at Kent State University!  The Office of Experiential Education and Civic Engagement (OEECE)  was created out of efforts put forth by KSU faculty and administration who saw firsthand, the excitement and energy experiential education brings to the classroom.  The Experiential Learning Plus-1 Credit offers you an amazing opportunity to develop and apply knowledge and skills beyond the classroom to community environments that will shape your life for years to come.

The OEECE strives to make the Experiential Learning Plus-1 Credit a rewarding option for those seeking engaged learning experiences. This orientation will prepare you for a successful Plus-1 Credit service learning experience. Here you will learn the tools and information you will need to get started.

It is my hope that by the end of your Plus-1 Credit experience, you will have a better understanding of the civic challenges of our 21st century society, your course, discipline, and yourself.  Please take advantage of the OEECE's resources and staff throughout your experience.
