Information from Security & Access Management and Internal Audit
Computer Security is an increasing concern to the University. Notebooks pose additional threats due to their portability. Please have your faculty familiarize themselves with Kent State's " Top 10 Personal Computer Security Requirements".
The Internal Audit department has asked that we remind departments of their responsibility to maintain an inventory list of all equipment under $2,500 which includes the computers you receive under the refresh program. In addition, any Faculty member that will be taking their computer off campus for one week or longer should complete the "Equipment Sign-Out Request Form" located on the BAS Website at http://www.kent.edu/bas/forms/upload/Equipment_Sign_Out_Form .doc. The form should be centrally filed and available for audit in the Faculty member's department.
