Services
In addition to our large-group events and programs, the Faculty Professional Development Center offers a wide variety of individual services to support faculty and graduate students in their professional development.
Below is a list of the services currently provided by the FPDC:
Consultations
The FPDC offers free consultations to graduate students and faculty. Consultations are meant to allow you to enhance learning through technology and allow you to obtain new skills. Consultations can be scheduled as a one-on-one meeting or as a group meeting. The FPDC has several consultants available to cover a range of topics from faculty portfolio development to web page development.
Faculty Classroom
The FPDC has a faculty classroom available to faculty who want to hold department/faculty meetings, need a space to create projects, or who want to run workshops, seminars and other such collaborations. The Faculty Classroom also contains equipment such as a smart board, a set of wireless laptops, and a meeting table.
Faculty Workshops
Faculty workshops are engaging experiences for you and your colleagues to define, plan, and achieve your learning outcomes in your unit and for the University. All workshops can be customized to meet your unit's outcomes and student needs, and to utilize the talents and resources within your unit.
Technology & Print Resources
The FPDC has many tech and print resources to assist graduate students and faculty, and to enhance learning of certain topics. These resources include technology equipment and library resources we can loan out for you to take home.
