Departmental Honors

Graduation with Departmental Honors was designed to represent less broad participation in the Honors College.  Students who complete and defend the Senior Honors Thesis may be eligible to receive Departmental Honors.  This minimum set of requirements is only available to students who join Honors later in the collegiate career for the purpose of completing an undergraduate thesis.

To earn Departmental Honors, students must meet the following criteria:

• Six Honors thesis hours;
  
• Cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher and major grade point average of 3.4 or higher;
  
• Thesis of outstanding quality
