Recognition Programs
Kent State University sponsors various programs and events annually to recognize the many contributions of its faculty and staff. Some programs are university-wide, while others are sponsored by departments, divisions, and regional campuses within the university system.
Listed below are several university-wide recognition programs sponsored by the Division of Human Resources.
Milestone Years of Service
Staff employees are recognized when they reach a milestone year of continuous service with the university.
Per university policy 3342-6-07.11, classified employees receive a service achievement award — in the form of a cash payment — at every five-year milestone. View more information on the service achievement awards.
In January, 2008, unclassified employees began receiving a certificate and a gift at every five-year milestone. Employees in this group will receive a catalog with a choice of gifts available and instructions for ordering the gift of their choice.
