A class designed to help the preschool skater develop preliminary coordination and strength on the ice. Children must be at least 4 years old. A 30-minute optional practice (292001) is also offered directly after each session for an additional $25 fee.

This class focuses on developing an ability in the use of backward edges. Several beginner freestyle skills are also introduced.

5:45 - 6:45 p.m. New skills and the combining of several skills learned in previous levels make this a great introduction to the Freestyle classes.

About the Program:
General Information:
- U.S. Figure Skating strongly recommends the use of a hockey or multi-sport helmet for all beginner skaters and children 6 years of age and younger.
- It is recommended that participants dress in layers
- Snow suits and heavy winter clothes are discouraged as they limit movement
- Mittens or gloves are a must
- Participants may use their own skates, however double runners are not permitted
- Skates can be rented for $1 per lesson
Participants Will Receive:
- A parking permit (one per family) for Thursday classes. Parking Services does not ticket on weekends.
- An invitation to perform in the annual Holiday Exhibition.
Private Lessons:
Private lessons are available during the practice time at the end of the group lesson. Classes are limited and arranged on an individual bases. Please contact us for more information and fees.
