Also, learn about what's new in Blackboard Learn and other related educational technologies.

Information on new "systematic review" methods will also be introduced.

"Kent History through Music, Comedy and the Arts" will show authentic vintage photographs and original archival materials relating to the city of Kent and Kent State University. We will travel from the earliest days of the town to modern day events focusing on visits from W.C. Fields, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, The Black Keys and more. We will listen to authentic recordings and look at old videos from all different eras all authentically from the city of Kent and Kent State University.
Newicon Meet Me at the Library: The History of Kent State University Libraries facultyicon communityicon

"Meet Me at the Library" will consist of vintage KSU photographs (via PowerPoint) of University Libraries and campus scenes covering the history of the library and the University. As the center of knowledge, the library over the years has defined the "front door" of the campus, beginning on Front Campus in 1910 and continuing today in its prominent place on Risman Plaza. The library has over time been a place for research, learning, studying, and meeting place for students, faculty, administration, and community.

This session will focus on tools that can help Faculty gather information for their RTP Files. We will demonstrate how to find metrics for your publications, journals and how many times they have been cited and well as find the impact factors of journals and citation searching. In addition to using these tools we will also discuss the pitfalls of using this type of analysis. This session will utilize both Journal Impact Factor Reports (ISI Web of Science) and Scopus Journal and Author Metrics (Elsevier Scopus).

This session will review various types of video projects as they relate to learning outcomes , video production equipment, software and support resources, avoiding student video project pitfalls.
