Kent Brass Quintet
The Kent Brass Quintet is a faculty ensemble-in-residence in the Hugh A. Glauser School of Music at Kent State. The KBQ plays both original music and transcriptions from a wide variety of styles and periods ranging from the Renaissance to jazz and new compositions. Black Squirrel Winds
Kent State University's School of Music sidewalks, has for decades hosted the famous black squirrels. We are so proud of the that our Wind Faculty got together and launched our newest faculty ensemble, the Black Squirrel Winds.
Diane McCloskey, Danna Sundet, Amitai Vardi, Kent Larmee and Mark DeMio are the core members. They host guests when the music requests. Dr. Jeffrey Heisler will perform with the Black Squirrel Winds on several occasions this season playing a lovely Suite for Saxophone and Wind Quintet by Darius Milhaud, Scaramouche.

Miami String Quartet
