The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is a rigorous academic program for second-degree students.
Accelerated nursing students will need critical thinking skills, strong written and oral communication, and the time, support, and resources to commit to an intensive four or five semester full-time program. This program can be completed in less than two years, typically in 15 to 18 months.
The College of Nursing has created three Accelerated Nursing Cohort options to meet the needs of a wide range of students. Each cohort option is distinct with different start dates and duration.
Students are selected to the Accelerated Nursing Program based upon their cumulative GPA, science prerequisite GPA, recommendations, experience in healthcare, related coursework, and interview.
Extra weight will be given to applicants with class-related, extra-curricular, job-related, or volunteer experience working with individuals and/or groups in a helping setting
