The physical address for the Kent Student Center is 1075 Risman Drive, Kent, Ohio 44242. The Ballroom is located in the Kent Student Center on the 2nd floor.
If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, we will inform you of the cancellation via email and post information on the kent.edu website.
Directions to the Kent Student Center are available online. The Ballroom is located in the Kent Student Center on the 2nd floor.
The doors will open approximately 60 minutes prior to the event.
An elevator is located in the main lobby of the Kent Student Center.
Emergencies and Evacuation Procedures
In the event of a serious emergency, all event staff, ushers and law enforcement are available to assist guests, including those with disabilities. Information could also be provided over the public address system.
If assistance is needed, please contact the nearest Usher or Event Staff personnel.
There are a number of parking options. The visitor's lot in front of the MAC Center (Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center) located at 1025 Risman Drive, Kent, Ohio 44242 has limited space and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Schwartz Center parking lot is located across Summit Street. Walkways provide easy access to the Kent Student Center.
A free shuttle will run from the Admissions parking lot (next to Schwartz Center on East Summit Street) to the Student Center.
The program will begin at 7 p.m.
The following items are not permitted:
- Animals - other than those used as a service animal
- Baby Strollers
- Bags (larger than 14" x 14
- Laser pointers, whistles or noisemakers
- Signs, banner or posters
- Smoking only allowed outside
- Weapons of any kind

Smoking is prohibited inside in the Kent Student Center. Smoking is also defined to include any and all electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes.
Setting up a promotional space and/or distributing banners, booklets, business cards, circulars, commercial advertising, flyers, folders, handbills, leaflets, notices, pamphlets, posters, stickers, or any other written, printed and/or painted materials in or around the MACC and campus without the permission of Kent State University is prohibited.
Tickets for this event are free. A valid ticket for the event is required for admittance.
