Employment Opportunities

Open Interview Session: April 27, 5 p.m.

The Department of Recreational Services offers open interview sessions periodically throughout the semester for current Kent State students interested in working at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, Ice Arena, Allerton Sports Complex or Crooked River Adventures.

During these sessions, prospective employees should bring with them their resume, cover letter and application*. They will receive a brief introduction about the department and a better understanding of each area that is hiring, which could include:

  • Aquatics: Starting Summer 2012 ( Please come prepared for a skill assessment. Bring a swimsuit, googles, and a towel)
  • Guest Services: Starting Summer 2012
  • Ice Arena: Starting Fall 2012

Following the introduction, candidates will sign-up for 10-minute interviews with the area(s) of their choice. Pending the success of the interview, candidates may then be invited back for a final interview at a mutually agreed upon date and time.

*Those individuals wishing to apply for a Group Fitness Instructor position must also prepare a 15-minute demo to include a 5-minute warm-up, 5-minute instruction and 5-minute cool-down (in lieu of the 10-minute interview). Applicants are asked to bring their own music.
