New Student Orientation

Welcome  ♦  Get Started  ♦  Plan Your Program  ♦  Learn Online  ♦  Start Your Career

Welcome!

Welcome to the Master of Library and Information Science (M.L.I.S.) program in the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at Kent State University.

This online orientation will help you get to know the school, the program and the people; learn how to make the most of your time here; and find out how to succeed as a student and after you graduate.

We invite you to explore the orientation sections listed below before beginning the M.L.I.S. program. You can also return to them anytime as your information needs change.

If you can't find what you're looking for here or elsewhere on the website, please contact your advisor (whose name was sent to you with your admission letter) or the main SLIS office ( slisinform@kent.edu or 330-672-2782).

We look forward to helping you succeed in obtaining your education and entering your chosen profession.
