Format for FlashLine Communication

Each time someone at Kent State University communicates with the general public or primary stakeholders, it affects the university’s reputation.

The convenience, speed, cost-effectiveness and environmental advantages of using electronic communication make the transition to, or addition of, electronic communication a powerful, efficient and timely tool.

As a result, a base set of standards is required when preparing your content. Requests must use:

  • 350 words or less (if more information is available or necessary, include a url in your message and drive recipients to a Web site)
  • Upper- and lower-case subject lines with a maximum of 50 characters (including spaces)
  • No supporting attachments (with the exception of the submission form itself)
University Communications and Marketing will style submissions according to the Guide to University Style.
