Web team also works with the university community to keep links and other copy within the Web site current. If you know of a link on www.kent.edu that needs updated, removed or added, please submit a support ticket.. Access to SiteImprove and Google Analytics is also available to assist website optimization.  If you need assistance with your website and need Web team support please submit a support ticket.


Several classroom training sessions are available. In addition, web team offers support and office hours for questions and individualized help.

Register for training. If you are registering for Drupal Training you will need to login after registering. Please follow the instructions on the confirmation page. A confirmation email will be sent prior to training to confirm the date, time and location. Most classroom training sessions are located in room 333 of the library.
DRUPAL TRAINING (By UCM Invitation Only)
You will be invited to register by your UCM web team representative when your site has entered the appropriate phase of the migration from CommonSpot. This two hour hands-on training will teach you how to setup and edit your Kent State University website, as well as learn how to add images, videos, links and buttons, create a custom URL, save a revision, schedule publication, upload documents and manage the site navigation. Please read the registration confirmation; your action is required. Select a date below to register.

Most questions can be answered with the manual, guides and tutorials available from the online resources link above. Office hours are available if you need to schedule training for yourself or a small group. Once you enter a description of topics with which you need assistance, a list will open for you to select the day(s) and time(s) that work best with your schedule. Your request will be reviewed and an email will be sent with available times from which to choose.

The Web Images Workshop reviews best practices for using images on the Kent State website. The workshop is a hands-on approach to resizing, cropping and saving images for the web using Pixlr (online freeware) and/or PhotoShop. Select a date below to register.
OPEN LAB: Google Analytics and SiteImprove
2015 dates coming soon! Get personalized help and training with two essential tools: SiteImprove, which monitors broken links and misspellings and Google Analytics, which measures site activity, visitor demographics and traffic sources. Sign up to attend an upcoming Open Lab. You can come and go during the session as your needs and availability dictate, but we do want to ensure there's space for you.
2015 dates coming soon! Discover best practices for developing, executing and measuring digital marketing strategy. The workshop is a hands-on exploration of SiteImprove's Quality Assurance tool for locating broken links and misspellings and Google Analytics, the standard resource for measuring success on the Web. The session begins with an examination of best practices, including content auditing and conversion tracking.
