The Women's Center provides programming that can be delivered to residence halls, student organizations, campus departments and members of the community. Each program can be presented at the Women's Center for groups up to 20 attendees or on site for your group. Below is a list of the programs available for presentation. In addition, programs can be developed to focus on specific issues of interest to your organization or department. Women's Center Presentation
Program Topic: General information about the Women's Center's programs and services.
Intended Audience: All campus and community members, departments and organizations.
Intended Duration: Brief 5 minute presentation to the full 30 minute presentation.
SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) Presentation
Program Topic: Information about the services and educational programming of the (SART).
Intended Audience: All campus and community members, departments, divisions and organizations.
Intended Duration: 30-60 minutes
Dating Safety and Domestic Violence on Campus
Program Topic: The warning signs and realities of intimate partner violence on college campuses, dating safety tips, safety planning and resources for students.
Intended Audience: Students, resident assistants, and student organizations
Intended Duration: 30 -50 minutes; discussions can be tailored for time allowance though this presentation is predominately lecture-style and rich with information, tips and facts
Friend or Foe? Assessing the Health of my Relationships
Program Topic: Every person deserves to be in a healthy, loving and safe relationship. However, a relationship without respect, honesty, equality, trust and good communication can be hurtful and destroy self-esteem. Participants will discuss the signs of good and bad relationships and take time to reflect on past or present relationships, assessing their health and safety. Individuals will also discuss how relationships are impacted at the collegiate level.
Intended Audience: Students, resident assistants and student organizations.
Intended Duration: 30 -50 minutes, time flexibility to allow presenter to tailor discussion times to group, numbers, relevance and availability.
Images of Men and Women in the Media: What does that have to do with me?
Program Topic: Discussion-based presentation about the messages and pressures on men and women in different types of media using short videos and YouTube clips.
Intended Audience: Students, resident assistants and student organizations
Intended Duration: 45-90 minutes; variety of videos can be watched. Presentation is mostly discussion-based but it can be tailored for time allowance. (Must provide projector, screen, sound and internet for presentation if held at your site.)
Working for the Weekdays: College Women and Work
Program Topic: University Students and Employment with a Women-centered focused.
Intended Audience: Students, resident assistants, and student organizations.
Intended Duration: 30 -50 minutes, time and content flexibility to allow presenter to tailor discussion to group, numbers, relevance and availability.
