University Health Services - Office of Health Promotion works closely with the Office of Student Conduct, Student Legal Services, and Portage County Municipal Court to offer a comprehensive educational program. The Drug Awareness Workshop offered through the UHS-OHP utilizes the “Marijuana” workbook from The Change Companies® and several other resources that focus on decision making and the effects choices have on each individual’s present and future goals.

Each workshop is 2 ½ hours in length and is held at University Health Services in Conference room A, located on the lower level of DeWeese Health Center. Participants will be charged a fee of $100 for materials and services. Upon completion of the workshop participants will also complete a reflection assignment. All paperwork, including the payment form and written assignment is submitted directly to the sanctioning individual and/or institution by the workshop facilitator. Our workshops are not limited to individuals enrolled at Kent State University. We work in collaboration with other universities in Ohio and Pennsylvania as well as county legal systems and law firms.
