The mission of the Computer & Information Science Department is to provide an outstanding education to its students in accordance with the principles of the Mansfield University mission, to advance scholarship in key domains of the computing and information sciences, and to engage in activities that improve the welfare of society and enhance the reputation of Mansfield University. Professor Brian King received University at Albany's Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Award for his research on semi-supervised learning for protein sequence classification.
August 2008
Professor Brian King joins the CIS faculty. Congratulations to Brian and his wife on the birth of their son Dylan.
April 2007
John Phillips presented a paper on the MU CPU design at the CCSCNE 2007 conference. The paper has been published in The Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges.
