Medical Insurance

Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability

  • The State System currently offers eligible employees a Basic Group Life Insurance policy provided by MetLife.

Flexible Spending Accounts

  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA's) governed by the IRS code, allow employees to have income withheld from their paychecks before taxes for eventual reimbursement of certain medical and dependent care expenses.

Retirement

  • The State System offers several retirement plans as well as voluntary supplemental retirement plans.

Workers' Compensation

  • The University provides Workers' Compensation insurance to all employees for work-related illnesses and injuries.

State Employee Assistance Program (SEAP)

  • SEAP provides employees and their family members confidential, no cost assistance with a broad range of personal and work-related problems.

Tuition Waivers

  • State System employees may be eligible for total waiver of tuition for themselves, children, and/or spouses.
