Subject: Presidential Search Update
The Mansfield University Council of Trustees, at their September 24 meeting, approved the recommendation of the Presidential Search Committee to continue the candidacy of the following individuals. These are unranked and in alphabetical order.
Francis L. Hendricks
Donna Price Henry
Bruce T. Murphy
These three continuing candidates will be forwarded to the Chancellor and Board of Governors for further consideration. I anticipate a decision will be made sometime during the month of October.

This Presidential Search web page has been created to keep the Mansfield Campus Community informed on the search for a President for Mansfield University.
The search process will follow PASSHE Policy 1983-13-A: Process for Recommending Presidential Appointment.
The Presidential Search Committee has been formed in accordance with this policy, and to date has held two meetings. Greenwood/Asher & Associates, a nationally recognized search firm, with previous experience with PASSHE University searches, has been retained to assist the Committee.
The Search Committee has developed the Position Description and Advertisement.
The goal of the Committee is to have three candidates recommended to the Council of Trustees at their September meeting, and for the Chancellor and Board of Governors to make a final selection at their October meeting. If this timetable is maintained, the new President could be in place by January 2013.
A Communication Plan has been developed which identifies the various responsibilities and activities of the Search Committee, and will provide an opportunity to keep you apprised of the Committee’s progress.
