The University of Kentucky's Martin School of Public Policy and Administration ranks among the nation's top schools in its field, according to rankings just released by U.S. News & World Report. The Martin School is ranked No. 16 overall among schools of public affairs and administration, and No. 2 in the area of public budgeting.

"Our strong showing in this survey reflects our dedication to providing world-class programs in public policy and administration. As the school strives to recruit the best students in the country, it is rewarding to receive this type of recognition on a national scale."

hoytupdate Martin Schol in the News:"How will Governor Beshear's proposed state budget affect the University of Kentucky?" asks Lexington local news affilliate WKYT in its story about a panel discussion held last night, which included several members of the Martin School faculty and administration. Professors Merl Hackbart, David Wildasin and Martin School Director Dr. William Hoyt were all part of the discussion last night at the University of Kentucky's student center. According to Dr. Hoyt, "Public support is going to be shrinking in the relative share of the budget for the University of Kentucky as well as other public universities across the nation. And that's something I think UK will have to address." Click here to read the full story.
