Through its Distance Learning Program, Midland College offers a variety of non-traditional learning environments:
Online Courses (Web Based) are developed by individual instructors and provide complete course content through use of the Internet. Most online courses at Midland College are taught using the Blackboard Learning System. Students will need to meet specific Hardware and Software System Requirements in order to use Blackboard.

Go to page 14 of the schedule for "Online Course" instructions. To find an online course in the College Credit section, look at the end of each departmental listing. If there is an "online" header, a list of all online courses offered in that discipline will appear there along with the instructor's email address.
VCT - The Virtual College of Texas is a collaborative between other Texas colleges. Students have the opportunity to register at Midland College to take credit classes from other colleges whenever a Midland College online class is full or not offered during the semester needed. Midland College does not "host" science classes with labs or courses that don't align with approved curriculum. Please contact the Midland College VCT coordinator at 432.685.5538 for more information.
For additional information on any of these non-traditional learning approaches, please contact the Department of Distance Learning at 432-685-5537.
