Dept. of English, Millersville University
[updated Jan. 05, 2009]
Welcome to the WAITING LIST request form for writing courses--
ENGL 010, 110, 311, 312, 313, & 316.
[The links on this page will be available immediately until the last day of the add/drop period at the start of the new semester. However, until the add/drop period starts on the first day of the semester your name will simply be added to the wait-list for the course sections you choose. Any action on your request will NOT take place until the beginning of the add/drop period. In the meantime, you can still register for these classes as they become open so keep checking MAX. ]
In an effort to more effectively monitor and track English Dept. writing course enrollments, we have developed the following online procedures for adding students to these writing courses. (If you want to drop a writing class, however, please stop by Dr. Archibald's office in Chryst 104 and have him sign your drop card.)
To start a WAITING LIST request, Click on the course you want in the list below, fill out the form, and select the course section(s) you want. You must complete the ENTIRE form that appears in each course page.
Home | ENGL 010 | ENGL 110 | ENGL 311 | ENGL 312 | ENGL 313 | ENGL 316
Important Note: If you choose this service you will be agreeing to use the following procedure:
Select a particular writing class page (see links above), then select up to three (3) sections, and fill out the form requesting to be put on the waiting list for those particular class sections.
When you request to be added to a writing course, you will need to access and check your marauder e-mail at regular intervals throughout the add/drop period. If a section is available or becomes available and you are at the top of the list, you will be notified by e-mail.
You must acknowledge by reply e-mail that you are still interested in enrolling in that course. If you do not respond within a 6 hour window (8am-5pm M-F), we will automatically drop your request and go on to the next person on the waiting list. Note: If the notification e-mail is sent to you after 11am then whatever time remains starts again at 8am the next day (e.g. A notification e-mail sent at 2:30pm will extend the 6 hour window until 11:30am the next day.)
Upon your reply that you want to be added to the class section, you must then go to Dr. Archibald’s office (104 Chryst) to have an add card signed. His office hours for the add/drop period are as follows:
MWF: 1:00-4:00.
TR: 9:00-12:00.
