Dr. Lawrence M. Clark (1934-2012)

The African American Cultural Center joins the Clark family in mourning the death and celebrating the life of Dr. Lawrence Clark (1934-2012). Dr. Clark is an integral part of the history of North Carolina State University. He will certainly be missed. The AACC will continue to celebrate his legacy as a tribute to his accomplishments throughout the remainder of the year.

Please join us for a special tribute to Dr. Clark at the 2012 Clark Lecture on March 15.

M and M Studio - Too Black Too Fast Exhibit

The story of the African American jockey is little known except to those who live and work within the industry. A heartfelt passion for artist Michael McBride since 1991, the hope of the Too Black Too Fast exhibit is to provide a vehicle for all Americans to share in the awareness of the legacy of these athletes, their contributions to the development of the sport of horse racing and to African American history.
