Student applying as freshmen for fall admission may receive one of the following admission decisions:

  • Admission for the fall semester
  • Admission to The N.U.in Program
  • Waitlist
  • Denied
  • Deferred

Freshman: Fall 2015 Admission Only

November 1: Early Action

Early Action is non-binding—you will be notified of your decision online by December 31.

November 1: Early Decision

Early Decision is binding—if you are admitted, you are committed to attending and withdrawing all applications from other institutions. You will be notified of your decision online by December 15.

January 1: Regular Decision

Regular Decision is non-binding. You will be notified of your decision online by April 1.

Students applying for the fall semester may be admitted directly into The N.U.in Program.

The N.U.in Program is an innovative and dynamic first-year experience rooted in Northeastern’s core belief that students should be engaged citizens of the world. More than 500 new students are enrolled each year through The N.U.in Program giving students an exciting early opportunity to bring a global perspective to their entire academic career. Students admitted into the program begin their college studies at one of our partner institutions around the world during the fall semester where they will be fully immersed in the local culture. Students transition to Boston to begin their Northeastern studies in the spring semester with a unique global perspective.

Transfer Information

April 1: Transfer

Transfer decisions are non-binding and released online by June 15. Transfer applicants cannot apply to the undeclared and physical therapy programs.

Spring Admission (Directly for January, Transfer Students Only)

The application for Spring 2015 will be available through the Common Application website on September 1.

The application deadline for transfer applications for Spring 2015 admission is October 1. Decisions will be released online no later than December 1.

Transfer applicants can apply directly into the following colleges/majors:

  • College of Arts, Media & Design
  • College of Social Sciences and Humanities
  • Nursing
  • Health Science
  • Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology
