Dr. Philip Needleman, former Chief Scientist and Senior Executive Vice President of Pharmacia Corporation, addressed members of Northeastern's biotechnology community during the 2006 Barry A. Berkowitz Symposium on Biotechnology on April 11, 2006. Dr. Needleman, the principal inventor of ANF and Celebrex, described the process through which new drugs are developed.
