MS / MBA Nursing Program

School of Nursing

Northeastern University’s School of Nursing and Graduate School of Business Administration offer this program linking graduate-level management education with specific clinical and organizational issues relevant to nurse managers. The MS/MBA Program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to understand, shape, and respond to the dynamic forces at play in today’s health-care environment.

Sample Curriculum

To earn the degree, you must complete twelve courses in Nursing and twelve in Business Administration. These courses earn 67.5 semester hours of graduate work: 39 semester hours in Nursing Administration and 28.5 semester hours in Business. The Nursing curriculum integrates a two-semester practicum with the theory and knowledge base appropriate to advanced roles of the nurse manager; the Business courses cover the full complement of functional courses delivered in four years of part-time study, although you can take up to seven years to complete the program. All courses are offered late in the day or evening at the Boston campus. Classes are offered in 15-week semester blocks of time.
