The Bouvé College Office of Research (BCORe) was established to enhance the capacity for wide-ranging and impactful health-related research to be conducted at Northeastern University. The Bouvé College Office of Research (BCORe) provides a broad array of research support to members of the Bouvé College research community including assistance with grant development and submission, post-award management of grants, training workshops, and research management tools. BCORe staff can assist with finding collaborators and research opportunities. The Bouvé College Office of Research is part of the Dean’s Office at the Bouvé College and is located at 110 Behrakis. Need statistical support for your research?
The Biostatistics Service Center (BSC) provides faculty with assistance in the development and review of analytic plans and statistical and database support for research projects. Analytic support for projects is done on a fee-for-service basis with charges and payments coordinated through the Bouvé College Office of Research. Hourly rates are based on the level of expertise required. Support services are provided by professionally trained Biostatisticians and by Northeastern University graduate students with demonstrated expertize in biostatistical applications. Work on all projects is reviewed and monitored by the senior Biostatistical staff at the College. Services are available to Northeastern University students and faculty.
Need access to research databases?
All faculty, researchers, and students at the Bouvé College also have access to Qualtrics, an online secure data acquisition and management system. Forms are easily created and can include data checks and skip, display, and branch logic. The program meets general HIPAA regulations and is complaint with standard security protocols. Licensing costs are supported by the Bouvé College. College faculty can also access REDCap, a web-based application developed to support data capture and management. The program provides automated export to a variety of statistical packages including SPSS and SAS. REDCap is installed behind a secure and monitored firewalled server at Northeastern and can only be accessed via Northeastern’s on-campus network or via remote virtual private network (VPN).
