Doctor of Philosophy Degree Candidates
The University Commencement will be held on campus on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Matthews Arena.
• Student Report Time: 2 p.m.
• Student Procession begins: 3 p.m.
• Attending candidates will be given 4 guest tickets. Additional tickets, if available, will be distributed on a limited basis by request.
Hooding
• Providing you meet all academic requirements for a 2010 degree conferral (see deadline information below) you will be hooded at the University Commencement.
• You will be called to the stage by name; as such, please be sure to complete the phonetic name spelling portion of your graduation application to ensure the accurate pronunciation. If you prefer to leave a voice recording of your name you may contact the Commencement Office at 617.373.4098 after 4:30 p.m. Be sure to spell your name, indicate your school and degree, and give a clear pronunciation of your name.

Cap and Gown Distribution
Academic regalia will be available when you arrive prior to the ceremony. Please report to the PhD lineup area by 2:00 p.m. Signs and staff will direct you accordingly. Upon your arrival you will dress in your robe and will receive instructions regarding the hooding.

When completing the Graduation Application, please remember, academic requirements fulfilled by:
Fall Term, December 18, 2009 will have a degree conferral date of January 29, 2010; submit application by December 1, 2009
Spring Term, April 30, 2010 will have a degree conferral date of May 7, 2010; submit application by March 1, 2010
Summer I Term, July 2, 2010 will have a degree conferral date of September 2, 2010; submit application by March 1, 2010
Summer II Term, August 27, 2010 will have a degree conferral date of September 2, 2010; submit application by March 1, 2010
Full Summer Term, August 20, 2010 will have a degree conferral date of September 2, 2010; submit application by March 1, 2010
