If you are planning an event off campus, you will need to obtain a contract from the selected venue. The contract must be reviewed and approved by the University Legal Office and signed by the University Treasurer. See the section “Legal and Insurance Issues” for details on submitting contracts. If you use vendors at an off-campus location—for instance, caterers, valet parking services, an audio-visual company—contracts will also be necessary with the respective vendors, and the same contract review policies apply.
If you need help identifying an off-campus location for your University event, please call the Office of University Events. We’ll be glad to help you locate the right venue.
